Clinical Hypnotherapy helps you, the client, achieve self hypnosis. When you are in that state, the “gatekeeper” to your subconscious (and part of your mind that is the seat of emotion) opens. The hypnotherapy “guide” then talks to the very part of your mind, deep within the subconscious – the problem solving part of your mind that helps control your emotions and helps you to make positive change – quickly.

No amount of talk therapy to your conscious mind can do that. This is the reason that hypnotherapy works quickly and efficiently!

Sleep Hypnotherapy

So hypnosis is profound relaxation so what better time to do hypnotherapy than when the body naturally requires we sleep?  NO time out of your busy day to have therapy and what better time than to “talk” directly to the part of the mind that already knows the answers to issues – your “superconscious” part of your mind.  So this type of therapy bypasses the conscious and hits home where it really counts, hence fast, positive change.  Talking to the conscious mind (read here “talk therapy”) is not targeting the part of the mind that makes change.  The subconscious works astoundingly between 1/4 to 1 million times faster than the conscious mind and is the seat of your emotion mind.  We are driven by our emotions – think how many times a day you say “I feel like…. a cookie, I feel depressed, I feel tired” etc.

With our form of sleep hypnotherapy (by custom, made for you: MP3 or CD) you get continuous nightly therapy for as long as you wish. 

So simply put: 21-30 nights use of your custom MP3 creates new neural pathways.  The human brain, as an adult has 86 billion neurons firing – in a complex network…of continually changing paths of thinking, doing etc. ie: habits – these are neural pathways.  When we wish to “make a change” then a new pathway is needed.  Think – a new pathway taking you away from negative thinking and expecting the worst possible outcome to a new positive best outcome outlook.

What We Help

Hypnotherapy helps you, the client, align the subconscious mind to agree with the conscious mind and make the change effectively and quickly.

Self worth, self esteem and self confidence are the “building blocks” of our psyche. IF we do not feel good, strong, capable, in control, healthy and happy we do not have much to offer up when we face others (think future boss, the public, friends, spouse etc.); hence people who have low self worth etc. have fear of public speaking, fear of confrontation with simple communication, relationship issues and more. They may have a disorganized life, poor motivation because they just don’t feel “good enough” or “worthy” or just plain “shy” and lacking in confidence to go out and apply for jobs, meet people and live the life they should. They may be fearful and out of control, perhaps unhealthy and stressed, depressed and anxious and potentially diving into food addictions (comfort) or other much worse substances to cover their felt inadequacies. Overcoming low self worth etc. is one of the most fundamental and beneficial of first therapies we offer and the lack of which, many people do not even recognize they have!

Most folk do not recognize anxiety as fear. Anxiety is the fear of the worst possible outcome and is a “learned” trait almost always gleaned from childhood. This fear can result in fear of failure (aka not even trying and lack of motivation), obsessive compulsive thinking about the same thing over and over – worrying about something but never recognizing a “fix” to the issue; their nervous system under duress which results in stress related health issues such as digestive problems including IBS, ulcerative colitis, gird, difficulty swallowing or even taking a breathe, heart arrhythmia, stress headaches, migraines and much more. The “much more” can be as devastating as a weakened immune system open to disease. his text in the module Advanced settings.

The word “trauma” is much bandied about. Clients may identify as being “traumatized” after a bad marriage, seeing something bad happening (e.g. a car accident) or an unwanted memory from childhood or having e.g. a working mother who was not home enough leaving the child feeling abandoned etc. However, it may also be something truly life threatening such as being in a roll over auto accident, nearly drowning, physical or sexual abuse etc.

 

Many of these unwanted negative memories are often referred to by the talk therapy community as the “thing” to “let go of” and many past clients have identified that they know what is wrong but cannot just “let go” of it. After being traumatized some clients are “triggered” into feelings that they are unable to cope with life… to the point of re-living the incident in their mind and having physical and emotional “fall-out” such as panic attacks and/or emotional break down.

 

We address these two type of “letting go” or disassociating with different therapies, each distinct from each other.  One way is handling the “letting go” during sleep hypnotherapy, the other is a Trauma Reversal performed in person. This very successful therapy (this writer and hypnotherapist has been the recipient of two of these and can personally testify to the effectiveness) removes all negative emotion attached to a period of time ie the incident. The client can then remember the incident but it becomes a mundane “thing” without any emotion attached.

Weight Management – two distinct issues – categorized as either over or under eating for the person’s size and metabolism or veering more towards couch potato life with little or no exercise and little or no desire to move. We help address all issues including different desired eating habits, recommendations and therapy for weight management and motivation in general and motivation to exercise. Being able to move and “do” makes a world of difference to one’s life particularly if one is not hauling the extra pounds!

Unwanted habits may range from cuticle picking, smoking, chewing and vaping to sex addiction, alcoholism or fear of flying and much more. We have successful therapies for each and every one of those unwanted habits, which truly can curtail one having a normal life, helping to make them a thing of the past.

NB:

ALCOHOL AND DRUG ADDICTION may be addressed and treated but the potential client must be

a) Positive that they do not like the substance to which they are addicted and be able to produce a written list of benefits of quitting. (in other words “be ready”)

b) Be able to stop right away or have stopped

c) NOT be under the influence at the time of therapy BECAUSE:

Hypnosis is a “natural yet altered state when the gatekeeper between the conscious and subconscious opens and communicates”. So being under the influence of drugs or alcohol puts one in an “altered state” and the gatekeeper is then open. The client needs to be and MUST BE in a stable, unaltered and sober state before hypnotherapy starts so that the imaginative subconscious understands what is being suggested and “said” – in order to have a beneficial and rational/logical outcome. In other words the description of a pink elephant on its back with yellow soles to its feet must not be imagined as a green giraffe with red socks on!

Our definition of stress – “the inability to cope with external influences” i.e. problem solve without worry because you understand you have “got this” – together with good self worth, esteem and confidence are our primary therapy.

 

Depression is complex. There are three things that affect us in life – DNA, events and environment. Just realizing that helps the client (and with our help) sort through their lives and understand triggers. Good self worth etc. – the most important of therapies and understanding ones abilities and appreciating and valuing them at the important subconscious level (and the seat of one’s emotional mind) goes a long way to lifting depression. Just the very thought that “you can do it” deep within your subconscious – where it counts – can help lift spirits and future outlook.

REM state.After years of experience and additional research, we use the NREM and REM states (more about that in Intake Session) to make our form of Clinical Hypnotherapy more “potent” and successful.

 

When the human being sleeps, it is the time that the higher part of your mind “tries” to heal both mind and body. This is something that most people already and fundamentally know. Sleep is a very important function. If we sleep too little (or even too much) these are indicators that something may be amiss.

 

So to confirm “hypnosis” is not something that is “done to us” – it is a natural yet altered state – a state of profound relaxation. ALL hypnosis is self-hypnosis – you allow yourself to relax. When we relax the “portal” to your subconscious mind and to the part that already knows and understands any “issues” is open.

 

Addressing this fact, we can understand how anxiety (and lack of profound relaxation) can negatively affect us – causing us even more anxiety (fear of the “worst possible outcome”), causing us distress, lack of beneficial sleep, chaos in our lives, inability to concentrate and focus (much of diagnosed ADD is in fact this) and much more.
